The SYSTM

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 6, 2026

This policy explains what information The SYSTM collects from you, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what control you have over it.

The SYSTM is operated by The SYSTM LLC, a California limited liability company. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean The SYSTM LLC, and "you" means anyone who visits our website, takes our quiz, subscribes to our emails, or purchases a program or session.

A note on the nature of this work. The SYSTM offers nervous system education, breathwork, and somatic practice. It is not medical care, psychotherapy, or mental health treatment, and we are not a HIPAA covered entity. Some of what you share with us is nonetheless personal and sensitive, and we treat it that way.

What we collect

Information you give us

Information collected automatically

Information we do not collect

We never see or store your full payment card details. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, the amount, and which product was purchased.

Live sessions and recordings

Group calls and one-to-one sessions are held over Zoom and are usually recorded so that participants who could not attend can watch afterwards. If you attend with your camera or microphone on, you may appear in that recording.

Recordings are shared only with members of that program, through the member portal, and are not published publicly or used in marketing without your separate permission. You are always free to keep your camera off, and you may leave at any point.

Please do not record, screenshot, or share sessions, community posts, or anything another participant shares. Other people's privacy depends on it as much as your own.

Why we use your information

Where the law requires a legal basis for processing, ours is your consent, the performance of a contract with you, or our legitimate interest in operating and improving the business — whichever applies to the situation.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have never done so.

We use the following service providers to run the business. Each receives only what it needs to do its job.

ProviderWhat it handles
StripePayment processing
SupabaseDatabase, member accounts, files
NetlifyWebsite hosting
ResendSending email
KitEmail list management
ZoomLive sessions and recordings

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of any person.

Cookies and tracking

The site uses cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for it to work — keeping you signed in to the member portal, for example. Our email provider uses tracking pixels to record opens and clicks. Embedded YouTube videos are loaded in privacy-enhanced mode, which limits what YouTube records about you unless you press play.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the member portal will stop working if you block them entirely.

How long we keep it

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

Email hello@the-systm.com and we will respond within 45 days, and usually much sooner. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.

If you are in California

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act you have the rights above, plus the right to know the categories of personal information we collect and the purposes for collecting them, both set out in this policy. We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.

If you are in the UK or European Economic Area

You additionally have the right to restrict or object to processing, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Because we operate from the United States, your information is transferred to and stored in the United States, which has different data protection laws from your own country.

Security

Accounts are protected by password authentication, data is encrypted in transit, and access to member materials is restricted to enrolled members. Session recordings in the certification programs are served through short-lived private links rather than published openly.

No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot promise that nothing will ever go wrong. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by law.

Children

The SYSTM is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us their information, write to us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the business changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. If we make a significant change, we will tell subscribers by email.
